Proyect Details
The project is located in a residential area, in the district of Tres Ríos, province of Cartago, Costa Rica.   The house is formed with a singular simple distribution to combine a 3 dorm in a tiny space and a full lenght living space to give the inhabitant a confortable space for everyday life. The space is composed of simple shapes and a playfull set of natural ilumination with patios light and sensation of connexion with exterior. A range of colors (white, black and wood colores) was chosen to delimit and frame the spaces. The textures reinforce the pure lines of the house. Basic materials such as concrete and zinc were sought to accentuate the simplicity of the project. The gardens function as patios, contemplative spaces of the house producing a sense of silence and tranquility that bounces back inside.
  1. Continuity and simplicity of the distribution.
  2. Clarity of simple shapes and volumes to understand the space.
  3. Create a spatial identity unifying materials and colors.
  4. Separate social and private life for comodity.
